Our main aim is to develop important key skills and highly valued competences, but also letting
students be the main actors in the environment where they live. We want them get involved in the
celebration of the First European Year of Cultural Heritage by exploring the European history, the
Roman origin of many of the Europe's most important cities and common European cultural roots.

We want to provide students with both knowledge and skills, through emotional teaching and learning.
We aim at making tricky subjects become catchy.
To summarize, with this project we aim to:
- motivate students to approach difficult subjects-History,Geography, Art, ICT, Foreign Languages
by know-how activities
- exploit heritage to make lessons more effective and appealing, investigations on the heritage of
ancient Roman values to understand better the common roots of European identity
-learn and become acquainted with the cultural haritage from the Roman age in different European
countries and the links between all European cultures and values based on it
- improve language competence and enhance students' and teachers' foreign language skills,
through shared activities in English and using ICT
-develop soft skills like team work, critical thinking, problem solving; implement communicative
competences both in mother tongue and foreign language
-devise new learning and teaching process
-share our best practices
Throughout the project - by means of different activities and the application of various methods - we
would like for our students to:
- become more motivated to learn and apply their knowledge and experience
- use English language and ICT to communicate, share, create, collaborate
- develop transversal skills (e. g. creativity, decision taking, critical thinking)
- learn how to work for a cooperative international project and in multinational team
- promote an intercultural dialogue
For our teachers the work and participation in the project will provide the opportunity to see and put
in practice modern effective and motivating methods and approaches, as well as sharing best
practices and experience in the field that are their best.
As a result of the project activities our students will produse a wide number of multimedia
presentations with various tools, online magazine, video resorces for History and other various
lessons. We also plan to produse a leaflets and broshures to be used as a tourist information and
presentation of the local cultural heritage.
The teachers and students will design teaching modules for Art,Geography,History,Technology,
(subjects that have been remarkably reduced from some national curricula)
Teachers will prepare and share teacing resourses for future use and exchange best learning
materials.
